Movies

All the Presidents Men
Dislikes
1. It was too long.
2. It was pretty slow not much action.
3. If you don't know your history then it could be a bit hard to follow.

Likes
1. It is interesting if you are interested in investigative journalism.
2. It shows the intensity and passion that journalists have for what they do.
3. The actors did a good job and that made the movie that much better.

A movie about watergate. It followed two reporters around and showed the struggle they went through to tell the truth.

We Were Soldiers

Dislikes
1. Im not a big Mel Gibson fan. He is a good actor sometimes but I just never cared much for him.
2. From what I saw (we didn't finish it in class) there was a guy who chose to be a photographer instead of someone who fights like the rest of his family. I like that it showed a photographer.
3. It was just a good movie from what I could tell. I don't think I can come up with many dislikes so I wrote some likes instead.

Likes
1. It had some action about the war.
2. It had some humor in it. It wasn't just a sad people dying and crying movie.
4. I like that it showed more about what the wife's went through more than other movies do.

A movie about how a lieutenant prepares his unit and leads them into the first battle in the Vietnam war. It also shows how the Wife's deal with the pain of finding out that their husbands have died.

Under Fire

Dislikes
1. You told us that we didn't have to stay and watch this one if we didn't want to. Its not that I didn't want to but I had other things to do. Memorizing the AP Style Book for my copy editing class is not easy or fun.
2. I have tried to rent the movie but between Longview, Tyler, Kilgore, and Nacogdoches not a single video store had this movie.
3. I couldn't even find this video on the internet to stream, not download because thats probably illegal.

Likes
1. Nick Nolte is a decent actor from what I hear.
2. Its about a photojournalist doing what he loves and does best. It couldn't be any better than that.
3. The movie Paparazzi sucks and makes photographers look like a bunch of goons. So Under Fire has to be a better movie than that and I like that.

"Under Fire is a political film set in 1979, during the last days of the Somoza regime in Nicaragua. The story is fictional, but was inspired by actual events. The musical score by Jerry Goldsmith, which featured well-known jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, was nominated for an Academy Award." www.Wikipedia.com that is all I found on the movie.

All The Presidents Men showed the best representation of what journalists do based on the two movies I got to see. It shows pretty much the whole process that the reporters took to get their information to write their story even with people trying to stop them or try to help them without giving anything but clues even when they could give them more info.
